The ancient wisdom points us towards the accessibility of divinity "with a god dwelling immediately within the human breast" and the myths demonstrate time after time that the gods work out their will through our own actions and efforts. Because of this fact, the gods are always available to us, at any moment.
We see that the gods stand ready to help, and that their help is very real and decisive --but that it is, in effect, synergistic with the actions and resolve of the one who calls upon them.
