To assuage the fears of a Mayan "End of the World" scenario coming from CERN, I am posting the LHC schedule for December 21st. The reports that CERN is ramping up for a Dec. 17 to Dec. 21 run is based on an April Fools joke perpetrated by Catagorists.com The joke in question no longer exists but, you can see the date of the post in the url 2012/04/01/. There will be no high voltage experiments, however, this report released January 31st, 2011 announced that they will continue to run low level experiments throughout the year.
